About AfriCa Fest
AfriCa Fest is a festival concept imagined in 2007 by Pulchérie Mboussi. The first edition of the festival was launched in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2013.
After more than ten years of continuous programming in British Columbia, AfriCa Fest was presented for the first time in its city of origin, Quebec City, where the event brought together more than 3,000 participants.

Growth and vision
A Traveling and Unifying Festival.
For its 13th edition, the festival began a new phase of development by expanding to several cities, thereby affirming its vocation as a travelling and unifying festival.
Mission and values
AfriCa Fest aims to be a concept that can be reproduced in major municipalities, showcasing the cultures, heritage, and artistic expressions of people of African and Caribbean descent. The festival seeks to create an inclusive, accessible, and unifying space, embraced by all communities, while celebrating the richness and diversity of African and Afro-descendant heritages.
International reach
An International Festival in Motion.
Conceived as a festival in motion, AfriCa Fest takes place primarily in summer and aims to be presented in several cities across Canada, Europe, and, eventually, Africa. This vision includes the symbolic and artistic return of Afro-descendant artists from the diaspora to the African continent, to present their work, deepen their practices, develop new collaborations, and contribute to a unique cultural celebration rooted in dialogue, transmission, and contemporary creation.
