About the Event

The second Issamba Kitchen featuring Chef Nimz, cooking Efo Riro join her in creating this wonderful African dish.

Ẹ̀fọ́ riro is a vegetable soup prepared with leaf vegetables and stockfish, palm oil, red onion, crayfish, tatashe pepper, locust bean and may also include meat and other ingredients.

Ingredients to prepare for the event

2  medium-size tomatoes

3 large red bell peppers

1-2 habanero or chili pepper

1 cup palm oil (not congealed)


4-5 cups spinach or kale (chopped)


Beef (substitute with your choice of protein)

Crayfish (Optional)

Locust Beans (Optional)

*the habanero or chili pepper quantity depends on the level of spice you can tolerate
