AACCCS-ISSAMBA Centre is inviting you to join this conversation on the impact of intergenerational trauma on representation.
As you may know, AACCCS-ISSAMBA was mandated by the BC government, under the BC Resilience framework as the provincial convener for the African Descent Community in BC, to lead engagement activities between the provincial government and the community, in addressing the rise in hate and to combat racism in our province. “Representation” has been a dominant subject across the eight key thematic issues we focused on, which were developed under the Canadian Strategic Action Plan (2017-2024).
It is therefore important to engage with experts and community members who are ready to share their knowledge and lived experiences to challenge systemic barriers and to improve the resilience of the community.
We are humbly inviting you to join us as we discuss this crucial topic with our guest speakers.
