About the Event
We would like to invite schools to participate in this new program curated by AACCCS.
The AACCCS Black Author book boxes have arrived just in time for the February 1st Black History month launch! Black stories are important because they are not often told in a public school setting. The Black Author Boxes are a library featuring black authors which are on loan (for free) to educators and schools in Victoria, B.C.
The book boxes are geared towards grades K-5 and include a variety of stories to inspire, educate and excite young learners, at an age-appropriate level. There are 20 books in each box, with five copies of each book which should be dedicated to different classrooms.
